Be Inspiring Month: No Sew Blankets!

Girl Talk teaches that gratitude is an important character trait of a Girl Talk Girl! Gratitude to me means being thankful for what you have, as well as being cognizant of the fact that not everyone in this world has the same advantages. Our Girl Talk Chapter decided that we really wanted to give back to those less fortunate than ourselves. What some people may not realize is that there are many ways to help others without leaving your community! Through another club I'm involved in, I have been in contact with a social worker who mentioned that she had two people who had asked for blankets. This was perfect for our community service activity We decided to do a fleece no-sew blanket activity. It worked out great because everyone could get involved and there was no sewing knowledge required. I think the blankets turned out great, and hopefully the recipients will enjoy them!
